February 2008: Fr. Sudac resumed conducting retreats at Bethany Retreat House, at a reduced schedule, in May of 2006.
So many people regularly contact us to ask when they can go on retreat with Fr. Sudac, or when he will be coming back to the USA, or how they can see him. Well, there is good news and bad news to share with you. The bad news is that at the present time, we are not yet scheduling English language retreats, nor are there any immediate plans to have Father come to the USA for any seminars.
But here is the good news...while we cannot yet bring pilgrims to Fr. Sudac in Croatia...we can bring him to your living rooms!
We now have a DVD and CD available of Fr. Sudac!
The DVD is a collections of excerpts from some of Fr. Sudac's seminars in the USA. The CD is a reflection on the Stations of the Cross. Both of these discs are very powerful and moving, and we know that they will deeply touch you! These materials are both very powerful, and we know that they will speak to your heart.
So what is Fr. Sudac up to these days, you may wonder? Fr. Sudac has a great love for his Croatian people who suffered so much during the war that raged in that region in the mid 90's, and so he has committed himself to working extensively with the people who lived through those horrors and atrocities. That work is the primary focus of his ministry right now...trying to bring the healing power of God into the hearts and lives of those people who were so deeply wounded, both in body, mind and spirit, during the dark years of the war. This ministry is very demanding and difficult, but also very fulfilling for Fr. Sudac.
A word of thank you to the many, many people who have been praying for Fr. Sudac, and we humbly ask that you continue to keep Fr. Sudac and all of us who minister with him, in your prayers. May the peace of Christ be upon you. Until next time....
August 2005 Update: As some of you may have heard Father Sudac was hospitalized in May with severe stomach problems, which required immediate treatment, strict observation and rest. Contrary to rumors and reports...he was NOT diagnosed with cancer or anything else life threatening. His doctors have recommended a time of extended rest in order for him to fully recuperate and so with that recommendation Bishop Valter Zupan of the Diocese of Krk decided that in the best interest of Father Sudac's health all retreats for the remainder of 2005 would be cancelled. We ask that you keep Father Sudac in your prayers.
